Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Nashville tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Nashville.
“I have a few tattoos from Sophie, but yesterday was my first time getting work from her at Hidden Door. It was a great experience! The space is clean, accessible and really really cute, from the front door to the bathroom. There were two other artists working on clients while I was there, and everyone was super friendly. The space feels social, but also spread out enough to kind of zone out and do your own thing while you're getting tattooed if you're not feeling too chatty (I read a book comfortably). And, of course, Sophie's work is *excellent* and she is the absolute master of color gradients! Broccoli is fresh (not yet healed!) from yesterday at HDT. Mimikyu + chef ghost are also from Sophie, but at different shops ~2 and ~5 years ago, respectively.”
“Me and my sister went to get matching monster high doll tattoos I wish I coulda posted the picture but are tattoo artist was dahlia she designed and tattooed both of r tats , 6 days later and I am still so so so happy with my tat , I’ve gotten so many compliments on both the tattoos and mine is peeling atm so I think that shows yu enough abt how good her art work is !! Also I am a VERY shy person and with her I wasn’t shy at all ! She was an amazing artist and the owner of the shop has some art around and that art is AMAZING!!!!!!! I already know dahlia is doing my sleeve but I also am hoping to one day have the owner tat me cause of how good there art is ! I def recommend this shop 10/10 experience !!”
“What an experience! From the initial consult, to the final product, I could not be more satisfied. I got my tattoo by Eli Draughn, and trust me, he's the artist for you. He worked with me through postponements and design changes, and was kind and professional throughout the entire process. Even sitting in the lobby, you can feel the good vibes of this place and the work speaks for itself!”
