Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Minneapolis tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Minneapolis.
“I flew in from out-of-state for a convention and I accidentally knocked the end off my nostril piercing. It went down the drain of my hotel room and all I had left was the post. I know a little bit about piercing, so I looked up shops in the area that were certified by the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). Sacred Siren was closest to my hotel, so I went there These folks are amazing! I didn't have an appointment (note: don't be like me - make an appointment beforehand), but they were able to squeeze me in as a walk-in. I told them my preferences: titanium, no gems, cheap and reliable. They sized me up, got everything sterilized, and had me back out into the world inside of 15 minutes. They didn't try to up-sell me on gold or something more expensive; they respected that I was only down to spend a little bit on a replacement piece. The piercer who installed the new end, Elizabeth, was a delight. I had interrupted her lunch break with my problem, but she took it in stride and was nothing but kind and supportive If this was all they did, then it would have been an easy 5-out-of-5. But, since I had never been to Minneapolis before, I also asked them for a local food recommendation. They knocked that out of the park too! Not only did my piercing get filled, but so did my stomach. 6-out-of-5! Thank you, Sacred Siren! Y'all were my heroes when I needed you most!”
“i got flash done by natalie, it was my first time having an appointment in this shop, & safe to say i hope to book more appointments here!! the vibe was so welcoming & comfortable, natalie did a butterfly from her flash for the "get out 🧊" fundraiser back in feb, she was the kindest & chillest person ever. she did amazing as far as communicating with me making sure i liked everything with the stencil & the piece she did turned out amazing in my opinion & im so excited to have a new piece + being able to also have part of the $$ go towards mutual aid for the community makes me feel good too. i reccomend this shop for anyone looking to get a tattoo, & thanks you jackalope for such a good first time experience i hope to stop by again very soon!❤️🩹”
“I followed my favorite piercer here, Nate, who co-owns this fantastic piercing studio. I can’t say enough about how much I trust this man with any family member. My mom. My grandma. And they’d feel comfortable there. The spot is warm and welcoming, all of their jewelry is high quality and medical-grade, and it feels like a doctors office in the rooms where you get pierced, in the way you want it to be when people are poking holes into you. The level of precision and true care is incredible. I refuse to go anywhere else, even though I moved away. I save all my piercing needs for Nate, Cole, or anyone here. You’re in good hands. Look no further. They genuinely care about people. You’re not just a customer. Walk-ins are valued just as much as people who have an appointment. You won’t wait if you make an appointment, but I didn’t wait as a walk-in, either. (Maybe 5 minutes at most) This is where you need to go for your piercing, fellow review researcher. 💛 You can thank me later.”
