Citadel Tattoo - Walk Ins Welcome!

Getting a tattoo on short notice — especially one that actually matches what's in your head — is no small ask. Jason and the crew at Citadel in Minneapolis came through on both counts. My brothers and I needed a spot that could fit us in fast, and Citadel made it happen without making us feel like a hassle. And when it came to the actual work? Jason crushed it. Exactly the vision I had, executed start to finish without a single compromise. Every penny was worth it — not even a question. If you're in Minneapolis and need work done, this is your place.

Just had two tattoos done at Citadel last night from Aurora S and loved the experience from start to finish. The shop is great, the vibe is chill, the artists are ridiculously funny and oh so very talented. Thank you, thank you, thank you for my beautiful new work, Aurora. Since one was a memorial for my dad I was worried I’d be sad, or maybe even tear up during the appointment. Instead it just felt like hanging out with hilarious and supportive friends. I left with a post tattoo high and the itch to go right back in for another!

Aurora has done practically my entire sleeve over the past month, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She took the ideas I described and turned them into something unique, badass, and better than I could have imagined. She also helped me discover what I wanted for my style, and her creativity and artistic vision have been incredible throughout the process. Communication has been easy from day one, and she makes the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. The shop is clean, professional, and has a great atmosphere. Beyond being an amazing artist, Aurora is a genuinely great person. I trust her completely with my tattoos and will definitely be coming back for many more. Highly recommend!

My friends and I all got walk in tattoos from Aurora and I am over the MOON with my experience here. First the website. I am so used to websites barely having any information about the shop and artists. Usually they send you to their instagrams and call it a day. Their FAQ page at the bottom gives you all the information needed and more. Aurora was such a vibe, their music taste? 10/10... Ask about karaoke playlist. Their work was really smooth and painless and was done really quick! I was thinking it was going to be much longer (it's been a while since I have got a tattoo). They were really clear in setting expectations and tweaks in the design for all of us and was so patient as we all had different placements amongst the 3 of us. A total rockstar, I 100% plan on coming to see her in the future for my next. Lastly the shop and other staff.. such a nice place and crew. We got a little hot from the adrenaline dump and they all offered us water, Baja blast or something to make all of us comfortable. The other artists checked in on us with a joke or a hype up and it really felt like everyone was family. Thank you guys again so much. Got an elbow tat from Wakako and couldn’t be happier with it! She is a great communicator prior to the appointment, incredibly talented as an artist, a blast to chat with during the process, and did I mention her art skills?! I get stopped on the street by strangers who ask me where I got my elbow tat from! I can’t wait to get back into the shop in the winter and get another one from her :) the shop is clean, well maintained, and the vibes are immaculate. The other artists are also super friendly! 100% recommend this shop for all your tattooing needs
