Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Columbus tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Columbus.
“I got my first ink Sunday. A guest artist from Mexico named Brian did my baby son’s handprint over my heart. He put a lot of time into making it perfect, as if it mattered just as much to him as it did for me. I was impressed when I saw it finished. It’s so much better than similar tattoos I saw online. The accuracy to the original in terms of detail and shading are amazing. It’s exactly what I wanted, as if my boy’s hand was pressed onto an inkpad and pressed to my chest. Thank you Evolved and thank you Brian!”
“I’m a neurodivergent adult and was getting a very meaningful and fairly large tattoo over very old self jury scars. It was not a coverup tattoo per my request but easily could have been. This shop is so chill and sensory friendly and my artist and other staff are accommodating and inclusive and sensitive to different needs. This is 100% and autism-friendly, neurodivergent-friendly, LGBT+ friendly, safe space and they do amazing work. This is seriously my favorite tattoo and I will be on my using this shop from now on.”
“i got a custom tattoo of my own art, featuring an existing character by the name of moomin. it was my very first tattoo ever, on my 19th birthday, and i couldnt ask for a better experience. it was very clean, straightforward, and quick. it barely hurt (which i was very grateful for). im on day 2 of healing and i am keeping the initial bandage on until the 1st of october. but so far, so good, and it looked incredible from the moment the artist, chuck, finished the final line. thank you guys!!”
