Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Cleveland tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Cleveland.
“Got a piece done with some cultural significance to me and Matt KILLED IT! Easy to book with very receptive and flexible on design details. I found him on instagram and saw his very large catalog with a huge array of lettering styles. He’s been doing unique and talented work for many years. It was a no brainer if you’re wanting a lettering piece done Matt is the guy. I instantly felt like part of the InkedCLE family when I came in. Rod, Reese, b, faith everyone was very welcoming this was the first session and I’m coming back the 25th to finish . He has a huge knowledge of depth control and spacing. I was carpenter by trade for a decade and things lining up was a big concern of mine but I didn’t have to even mention it he got things lined up perfectly. Him and I have a lot in common I found out and we’ve spoke a lot since. Great artist, great dude. Professional in all areas. This is my go to shop moving forward everyone has a unique style and the team is well rounded. Make the right choice and go to inkedcle”
“My daughter an I set an appt. For Riley an Justin. Our baby boy of 13.5 yrs. A realistic tattoo. Both tattooes turned out great. From a basic stencil to a full life like resemblance of our baby boy. They both took their time an put their talents to work. Very happy with the outcome. Very clean an friendly shop. Very Professional. U are charged when the ink starts. When ink stops for breaks an what not. U aren't paying. Definitely recommend giving them a look up if looking for that special, lifelong tat. My daughter an i were there for 3 hrs. The results were above a beyond. Thanks again guys.”
“I was vacationing in Cleveland from out of state, and I had initially chickened out of getting my first tattoo before I arrived after I’d been planning it for weeks. But, during the vacation, I changed my mind and was hopeful for a walk-in service nearby — the tattoo I wanted was a replica of a simple comic panel, so I figured it’d be easy enough to do in a walk-in. I arrived early in the day, and met Clay. They were all booked up for the moment, but Clay asked to check out my idea and placement, and offered to have me later in the afternoon. I came back at the time we talked about, and he got me in right away. I was thrilled. Overall, the shop is very clean and neat, and everyone inside is very kind. Clay did a great job at helping me relax and explaining the process, the rate of my walk-in was fair, and I am very pleased with the final product. Would definitely recommend.”
