What Locals Say About Olympia Tattoo Shops

I’m usually a horrible person to pierce. My anxiety skyrockets and I feel like I’m going to pass out. I went with my best friend last week for her birthday and decided to commit to getting my Tragus and daith pierced. From the minute I started talking to Skinny, he calmed me down. He was so incredibly professional and kind and had such a calm demeanor. After I did my daith, I began having second thoughts about my tragus. He didn’t try to push me one way or another, just supported me through my processing and didn’t show a hint or frustration or irritation. Ended up committing to the tragus and he got it done. Both piercings were done so quickly and effortlessly and they turned out flawless! I ended up coming back two days later to fix my tragus earring and he immediately took me in when the shop opened. Sat me down and switched the earring when I decided on a different jewelry. Because of the amazing experience I’d had the first time, I decided to get a flat too. He is the best piercer I’ve ever gone to and he helped me trump my anxiety with getting pierced. I absolutely will be back in the next couple of months for more! Thank you, Skinny, for my beautiful piercings and for the kindness you showed me both times.

Justin Lazaroff on Fleshworks Tattoo Studio

I got my tattoo cherry popped by Travis last year at a convention, and came down with a bad case of tattoo addiction because I loved his work so much. Fast forward to early this year, I was suffering extreme withdrawal from said addiction, so I drove my scrawny ass all the way from Seattle down to Olympia to get a sick "Lost Boys" half sleeve done, and I've never made a better decision in my life. Other than maybe that one time I threw an "Imagine Dragons" CD down a porta potty, where it belonged. But never mind that right now. Chris Morbid is the talented mfer that did the work this time, and I pinky swear this to be true, my tattoo heart belongs only to him now. Not only did he help me finally fully realize the concept I've been brewing in my head for YEARS, but he delivered beyond what I thought would be capable and made my arm look truly the sexiest it's ever been. He's also just a super nice, chill dude, and made the entire experience super easy and comfortable. Except the armpit. The armpit sucked. But that's not on him. Thank you, Chris Morbid, you are truly a legend and I appreciate your talent! The studio itself is awesome and full of some of the friendliest humans I have ever experienced across my life journey. When you walk in, you will immediately notice all of the incredibly awesome and spooky decor, and then you will likely be greeted by one of the many genuinely kind souls at this place. Huge cozy family vibes here. And I'm not talking Aunt Martha who you try to avoid every year at Thanksgiving because Aunt Martha can't shut up about how her hemorrhoidal flare-up was caused by a kid at the park messing around on his iPad vibes. I'm talking those family members you truly love and cherish and would go see a Dave Matthews show with just to be around them, even though you hate Dave Matthews, vibes. Fleshworks is a gem of a studio, and I would travel from Mars on a partially working hoverboard if I had to just to get inked by one of their amazing artists. Cheers!
