Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Hamden tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Hamden.
“I can't even begin to explain how much Bryant saved my ear today! After making the huge mistake of going to a different piercer last week for my flat piercing, I ended up with an absolute disaster. The post was too small and poorly positioned, which caused the back of my ear to close over the earring. But then I went to Bryant, and he was awesome. He was so gentle and careful when removing the jewelry that it hurt less than when I first got pierced! This place has always been my go-to, and I’ve had two other piercings done here with zero issues. I should’ve just stuck with them from the start! Bryant not only fixed my mess, but he also made me feel totally at ease throughout the entire process. 100% will never go anywhere else again. Lesson learned!”
