What Locals Say About Grand Junction Tattoo Shops

Got two piercings here in one day. Jacintah was my piercer, she did a great job and was very informative and comfortable. I could tell she really cared about what she was doing. It was an overall great experience and I would 100% come back again!

Tonia Elsrod on Elysium Studios

I have not had a tattoo here however I see Paul at Elysium Studios for three different things: Ive had laser treatments, 2 sessions so far, and scheduled for my 3rd. I mainly first reached out to Paul for help removing aprox. 30 (maybe more) tiny “ink dots” called “freckles” on my face, neck and chest area. In 2020 I had helped “a friend” apparently get her tattooing license for eyebrows - “free, you will be my model, they will go away in 9 months…”prob could have sued her), never used the term, tattoo, ever! Well they never went away in 9 months, and over the years due to maybe my facial care and products some had turned blueish in color, on my face! I just wanted them off my body and marked it up to “Well, that was dumb of me to allow” but, it’s fixable with money & the right place. These tiny dots were tiny dots so my pricing would or may be different for other individual person(s), like tiny dots freckles everywhere. I scheduled with Paul based off google reviews. He was very thorough on E- paperwork, treatment procedure, healing & care… $75.00 for all “dots” and boom, gone, they’ve never returned and won’t, when the laser takes, it takes. I was SO happy, I cried in his office. Very painless for those. Then I started asking about a tattoo removal for the “tramp stamp” my dumb idea in the Air Force basic training boot camp in San Antonio (yeah, I know). I’ve had two treatments so far and scheduled for my third. It’s black/dark purple so it could be a few to 8-12 times but the price for a small is at or around $150.00 worth it to me to get it gone. It is very painful, not like my freckle dots, I scream and am full of sweat when it’s over but I’m in it until it’s gone forever. Last, he noticed my face/skin and said he could help me with my hyper&hypo pigmentation some of which is hormonal some not and I’ve been to dermatologists since 2016 for it. He said no promises but I think you will be very happy with the results with how quick your tattoo freckles took. So I thought, let’s try it. Mine, without makeup was pretty bad, and about two years ago started to go down each side of my neck. $300.00 a treatment. It is torturous but I can’t stand people touching my face & im also not a candidate for fake eyelashes due to the close proximity of my eyes being touched and tortured, your experience if not like me, might be relaxing like a spa day. Paul is very patient, stopping to give me a break, adjusting the protection eye glasses, then getting better heavier eyeglass’s to help maybe with my someone at my face & eye issue. He is very very very kind & thoughtful. The first treatment I blistered a tiny bit and my face was super irritated I felt like I looked scary a little. I followed the aftercare instructions and within a week was like, “Wow!” “Let’s do it again!” The second time was still as torturous during the actual process, but again I’m just weird that way with proximity to my face and eyes. No blistering the second time, less redness and the results within 1-2 weeks, almost all gone! I looked like a different person (no makeup to hide tattoo freckles gone bad, almost no hyper/hypo pigmentation and my skin felt and looked so smooth) “Wow!” “Unbelievable results!” My kids noticed, a Dr commented on my face last week, “What do you use for skincare? Your skin looks like baby doll face.” I have just a tiny, tiny, tiny little browning on my left side forehead yet and a tiny bit on my left side neck that only remains. Scheduled for a 3rd today actually & I think that will remove it all for good. I am SO impressed with results I’ve cried in happiness, A LOT. Paul is very kind, patient, his office room in the back of the tattoo studio is very clean and sterile. I can’t say enough to him, “Where have you been all my life!” He sends reminders, appointment confirmations & treatment & aftercare instructions & also had sent a professional text to check in on me for a picture during the first healing process & had assured me it was healing perfectly, very professional the entire interactions with him.
