Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about St. Louis tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in St. Louis.
“I recently came to Alchemy for my first tattoo ever and I cannot recommend the experience enough. I was drawn to Alchemy for its inclusive and friendly attitude and atmosphere and my experience completely lived up to that initial impression. I was paired with Lacey who is one of the friendliest people ever. She walked me through every aspect of the tattooing process from placement to stenciling to aftercare. She answered every question I came up with and gave me advice that I didn't even think to ask about. The price was very reasonable, especially for the service provided. I highly recommend Alchemy!!”
“I took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. Rayne was awesome, she was so patient and did a great job explaining what she was doing. Highly recommend for piercings!”
“Carrie, the tattoo artist and body piercer, is so sweet and gentle. When getting a piercing, she tells you what she's going to do, before she does it. Everyone there is nice and family atmosphere. I'll continue to get tattoos and piercings here!”
