“Worked with Nick at the shop. Had met him at the Grand Rapids tattoo fest and seen some of his work. I thought his style was unique and so I reached out for this special Tolkien-esque tattoo. He was really great to work with and brought my art ideas into reality. Was really chill to talk to during the work as well. As an aside, I felt like Nick was worth driving from the Ann Arbor area (~1.5 hrs) to get this done. Love this tattoo very much and I'm happy with the choice to come to Daybreak. I also got to meet and see work from the other artists in the shop and I feel like this place has a tattoo style for everyone. The shop is very clean, and everyone has been great to chat with and very professional. I would recommend checking them out and sending an inquiry to the shop via email. Their shop assistant/receptionist/scheduler is awesome to work with. *Relevant personal experience - 7 prior tattoos of varying but similar size to this and ~ 40 total hours of actual work (getting inked)”
