We had a wonderful experience with Nik! He was so thoughtful and quick. Nik has tattooed everyone in my family and we will be back again.
Miguel Comin does incredible work! Very happy with the results. Got exactly what I was looking design wise. Really impressed with the shading/color. The experience from start to finish was great. Welcoming environment, clean, and very friendly. I can’t recommend Miguel, Icon and the crew there enough!
Walked in for a tattoo without an appointment, and the team was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the start. Bryce did my tattoo, and it turned out amazing—he was also very personable and made the whole experience comfortable. 10/10, I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Portland!
I am absolutely in love with my new tattoo! I highly recommend Icon tattoo. I was greeted kindly, the studio with very clean, and decorated with beautiful large plants and amazing tattoo inspired antiques. My artist, Chloe, was professional, easy to work with and has the most amazing attention to detail talent. I asked for a beautiful piece that focused on clean, fine lines and attention to natural anatomy in each flower and WOW did she deliver. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I decided I wanted a sleeve tattooed. Purely aesthetic, I opted for a geometric pattern, partially in color. After viewing the artists at Icon, I determined Lucky Matthews' style of tattooing would be perfect for the piece I had in mind. I called Icon and spoke with a friendly, professional receptionist who helped me book a consultation with him. Upon arrival at Icon, I was struck by the open floor plan and friendly atmosphere. It had a welcoming, come as you are, non-judgmental feel to it. The place was well lit and clean, with hip-hop playing at a decent volume. There are 6 stations belonging to the respective artists. I met Lucky, and he seemed like that cool dad you used to know - nice, articulate, matter-of-fact, but idgaf attitude. He was very friendly when he spoke, but I could tell that he knew what he was good at, what he wasn't good at, and also that he wasn't afraid to say it. He was nice, but he told it like it is, and I respect that... some boundaries should be pushed, but not the ones your tattoo artist sets for himself. I came in with an idea, examples of what I liked, told him my budget, gave him artistic freedom, and we set a potential start date. When the day finally came around, I was presented with a beautiful design that was unique, but akin to the examples I liked. Now, I'm not much on conversation, and while we chatted about this and that during our sessions, most of them were spent with quiet concentration, which was quite nice. My sleeve took 20+ hours over several sessions. It was completed in a reasonable amount of time and came within budget. My sleeve is striking, and I get compliments daily. I will recommend Lucky at Icon again and again to anyone looking for new ink.
