Silent Earth Studios

Ellie was awesome! She is a distinctly talented artist with a bold, unique style. This was my first large tattoo and she made the process smooth and comfortable. My wife and I travel for work and the PNW is one of our favorite places to visit so this experience will add to the memories created there. The studio gives off a great vibe and you can tell that the artists (DJ was also there the day I got my tattoo done) love working together. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Ellie created a wonderful piece of art based on Aesop just for me! She does an excellent job of communicating about the process from consultation through healing. I am constantly being stopped so people can admire my sleeve. The shop is a great open space, very welcoming vibe. Update 2026: I have a new piece here. This time Arianna created a wonderful tribute to Oregon with our state bird and motto. She did a great job designing the custom art and executed the design very well. I love my new art!

Ellie was fabulous. Her design was exactly what we spoke about. As a first tattoo, I was nervous, but Ellie was both super professional and kind. Her ease in the studio, explaining everything, definitely helped me. I am extremely happy with end results. The studio itself was a clean and inviting space. Arianna was working along side Ellie, working on another client, and her work was also amazing. Highly recommended studio. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

I have been to a a lot of tattoo shops and I have never felt so well taken care of, looked after, heard and respected. The music was elite, the snacks and beverage options were plentiful and everyone could not have been more kind and down to earth. One of my friends was doing a guest spot in town at Silent Earth (Melissa_varney_tattoos if you are in the Reno area look her up! She is incredible) and it wasn’t only wonderful to sit and work with her but to also to get work done in a calm and modern tattoo shop. Thank you everyone for making that such a wonderful memory! I will definitely be back soon **UPDATE** Aaand just like that I came back for another piece with Arianna! She was so much fun to work with! Professional, attentive, focused and so easy to chat with. Her attention to detail was incredible and I’m so excited about my new piece! I will be posting when the entire piece is finished 🤗 Thank you Arianna, Ellie and DJ for this shop not only for myself but the community. Y’all are the best 🩵

The place is a bit off street and above a bakery/cafe. A super inviting space awaits inside with extremely professional and friendly people. I can’t really put into words how talented DJ and his crew are. He makes his own guns and ink, and uses digital design to come up with the designs. Huge massage table awaits for your comfort with all manor of pillows. He is a very warm and friendly guy with great sense of humor. Such a fast tattooer as well! Both my wife and I received matching tattoos, what may have taken other artists several visits per person to complete, DJ did in 4 hours per person. We know his crew is equally as gifted, Ellie was there tattooing her client for much of our visit and her work was incredible! You can’t go wrong here. These people are here for it.
