I’ve been either recommending people to this shop or coming here myself since 2007, so the fact that I’m still supporting them all these years later says a lot. Since 2024, I’ve personally gotten three pieces done here, and I’ve had consistently positive experiences. My most recent visit was especially great. Bana at the front desk was warm, helpful, and made the whole process feel easy from the moment I came in. My tattoo artist, Will, was amazing. He really listened to what I wanted, helped everything flow with the tattoos I already had, and paid attention to the little details that made the final piece feel cohesive instead of just looking like random additions. I love how my newest work came together the linework is clean, the shading is beautiful, and the placement makes the whole space-themed section of my arm feel intentional and fun. Will was patient, professional, easy to talk to, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process.
Jim Gentry at Hand of Glory was excellent. The design process, scheduling and most importantly the work he did was excellent. He took my daughter's design, made it tattoo-worthy advised us on placement and did excellent line work. We are so happy. Update: I appreciated HoG and Jim's work so much that I returned for another tattoo. Again, he made the design process easy and productive, scheduling was smooth and most importantly he nailed the actual tattoo. I am super happy. The shop manager was very friendly and welcoming as well. Great operation. I will be back.
This was the most friendly and professional tattoo experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve worked with many different artists. Bana, at their front desk, is charming and kind and they were very clear about the shop minimum ($200) from the start. I walked in and was immediately able to talk with an artist and get the ball rolling. Jim Gentry tattooed my knuckles with the utmost care and precision. With no fuss whatsoever, Jim re-placed the stencils on each finger as much as necessary until he got them equal, even, and centered. He explained to me what he was doing as he went and never rushed. He did a beautiful job and we made great conversation while he worked. Thank you Hand of Glory for everything! Love you!
I visited Hand of Glory on Tuesday, April 14th after traveling from southern Maryland to visit my dad at his grave in Greenwood Cemetery. It was his birthday too! He was born and raised in Brooklyn and Brooklyn was always a second home to me. I wanted a tattoo with my dad’s thumb print inside a heart and to have it done while in Brooklyn on his birthday. It was the perfect setting. I did my research on local tattoo shops in Brooklyn and Hand of Glory Tattoo stood out the most! From the look of their shop to their artwork. It was also only 5 minutes from my dad’s grave. The plan was to surprise my mom and bring her to get a matching tattoo with me. It would be her first tattoo. Needless to say, she decided not to get her first tattoo. It was her first time in a tattoo shop and watching someone (me) get a tattoo. I did arrive as a walk in. They gladly accepted. The kind lady at the front desk was amazing! She did greet us, said her name (I forgot-I’m sorry), and was helpful. My artist was Dave! So kind, professional, clean and patient from start to finish. He took the time to make my vision come to life in a beautiful way! He took the time to make sure everything was perfect. He was very clean from the equipment, his station, my tattoo canvas area (forearm) and Dave himself. He was great during the session. Made every line and dot count! The end result- better than imagined! Perfect! Brought me so much Joy! 🥲 Brought my mom joy too! She loves it! She said maybe the next visit, she will be ready for her first…by Dave at Hand of Glory. With it being her first time, she took notice too on how clean the shop was, as well as, Dave and all the equipment. She loved how he took his time to be sure everything was perfect and how kind he was. She said it was fate that led us there and everything was perfect! Thank you Dave and Hand of Glory for the unforgettable experience and for my memorable tattoo. Spread Love, It’s the Brooklyn Way! ❤️🗽
I walked in and Maisie was so welcoming! We talked about my piercings and the jewelry they had while I completed my waiver. I will for sure be back to change my jewelry. Dave was amazing, he came up with the perfect design for one of my favorite TV shows/books. The fact that he too, knew and liked the show I saw his true passion in creating the perfect design and placement for me. This was a tattoo I have wanted for so long and now I finally have it! During my tattoo Dave made sure I was comfortable while he and the another artist Nico kept the conversation going that I felt like I was amongst friends.
