I had originally left a positive review to support a small business, but that was before my experience here. A group of friends and I visited this shop to get matching tattoos. One of the artists was friendly and welcoming, but the artist who tattooed me was noticeably less welcoming, and I left feeling that the difference in treatment may have been racially motivated. I was the only person of color in my group, and my experience was very different from everyone else’s. When I volunteered to go first, the artist appeared visibly unhappy about tattooing me. During the process, I asked him a direct question and was completely ignored. Additionally, while my friends were allowed to leave the shop for a smoke break and settle payment once everyone was finished, I was required to pay immediately after my tattoo was completed. No one else in the group was asked to do that. I can’t speak to the artist’s intentions, but the difference in how I was treated compared to the rest of my friends was noticeable and left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Unfortunately, that experience changed my perception of the shop. Once we got home and my friend said she noticed the guys behavior I felt moved to leave a review. I would not recommend any people of color go to this shop and I hope my experience was a singular one and not the norm

Love this spot!!!! Gave Humo a vision and he ran with it giving me the best tattoo ever which btw is a cover up of a snake/name tattoo I had. I also got my nose piercings from Smokes, quick and smooth. These two guys are great and definitely the only spot I will be going to for all my tattoos and piercings needs lol. Love you guys!!

I give this establishment 100 stars. Humo and Smokes runs a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all people, no matter who you are, they give a smile, some great conversation, and friendly cool vibes while you’re getting pierced. They answer all of your questions patiently, with a smile, let you see the needle when they’re taking it out the package, calms your fears. The really cool, sincere, genuine. They’re worth you coming out and spending money in a place you know is clean and you will be treated nicely with respect. My daughter was getting pierced and Smokes was very gentle on her ears. I was very impressed and pleased with their customer service. Smokes is also a perfectionist, making sure my daughter’s industrial bar and helix piercings were perfectly aligned. He was also so gentle, my daughter didn’t even feel it. I also admired the cool tattoos and piercings that they have as well. They are true artists and have been doing this for over 10 plus years. They are above average. I will let all my friends know, they should come here. This is a great business. Thank you Humo and Smokes! ☺️🏆 I will be coming back.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! I went to this shop with my sister, and from the very first moment we felt welcomed, listened to, and completely comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and full of positive energy. A special thank you to Humo, the tattoo artist — truly an amazing person. Professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. You can really feel the passion he puts into his work. Getting tattooed together with my sister was a very special moment, and Humo made it even more meaningful. The final result is beautiful, and the whole experience was unforgettable. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality, heart, and real talent. I will definitely be back! 🖤✨

My wife and I just moved into the neighborhood recently to be closer to work, and we feel so lucky to have found our new go-to spot for getting our tattoo projects done. Funny enough, we actually walked into another shop first, but they said it was too late for a walk-in. That turned out to be the best thing ever because it led us straight to Humo’s place. From the moment we stepped in, it just felt right. These folks are real artists. They seriously do justice to the word “artist” in “tattoo artist.” You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the work. Three weeks ago, my wife got tattooed by Zak and I got mine done by Humo. Humo was super fast, talented, and clearly experienced. He definitely knows his stuff. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We’ll definitely be back. Actually, my wife is heading there today for her second tattoo, which reminded me how great they were and made me want to leave this review. If you’re in the area and thinking about new ink, just go. You know what, even if you’re not in the area, come to the area to get your tattoo done. Trust me, it’ll be worth the trip.
