Order is by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: each shop's Google rating is pulled toward the directory average in proportion to how few reviews back it, so a 5.0 from six reviews does not outrank a 4.9 from eight hundred. The stars shown are the raw Google rating and review count.

What locals say about Wilmington tattoo shops
Pulled from Google reviews of the top-rated shops in Wilmington.
“As someone that was looking to get their first tattoo, I really took that time and effort to make sure that wherever I went would be a comfortable place that was very diverse in tattoo styles and people. My main criteria for a tattoo shop was simply " do they tattoo people with darker skin?" and I was very happy when I looked at the pictures they have on other social media sites that they do in fact tattoo/ have tattooed people that look like me. I took this a sign that I should contact Ink Oasis and set up an consultation. I was nervous at first but Curtis, my tattoo artist, sat and talked to me for like 30 minutes and that really calmed my nerves down and I did in fact get the tattoo. I super apperciate Curtis's attention to detail and he made sure that everything was perfect before he was done. After the tattoo was finished, he went over after care instructions and answered all of the questions that I had. I truly appreciate Curtis and the Ink Oasis team for making my first tattoo experience a wonderful one!”
“I absolutely love Terry and Amie! I got all 7 tats and piercings from Wildcard! I wouldn't go to any other place! It's been way too long since Ive been there and desperately am dying to come back. I'm so way overdue for more tats and piercings!! The whole staff there are amazing. They're all so down to earth and make you feel welcome and so comfortable! They all explain how to take care of your tats/piercings.They just make you feel so at ease while there. I know I felt more than just a customer during my appointments. I felt more like family! Amie is very gentle and talks you through the peircings. I just love her! And the tattoo artists are so awesome as well! There's truly no better place than Wildcard! The whole atmosphere is just so welcoming! I'm so addicted! Love you all!!”
“Poppycock Tattoo is a best collection of tattoo artists and piercing professionals in the tri-state area. The artistry, professionalism, and attention to detail are unparalleled. Hygiene and communication are their top priorities, and their repeat clients are testaments to their superior quality and service. I will continue to go back to Tina and her team and Poppycock for all my tattoo needs. Highly recommend without any reservations.”
