1904 Tattoo

I went in for my first tattoo and was unsure of what to expect, but Brandon was very nice and helpful. I got a very simple first tattoo and it looks very clean and nice, I am now looking forward to the next tattoo I get and will be returning to 1904 tattoo. UPDATE** I went back for a much bigger piece and this review still stands.

Last weekend I got my third tattoo from Brandon! He is such an awesome dude and I love that he creates this super comfortable environment for his clients. The shop itself is amazing, but Brandon truly makes it special. He tattood me and my best friend earlier this year and I brought my two sisters in for sister tattoos. He crushes it every time. I love his work, love his vibe, and love the energy he creates in his space. Highly recommend checking out his work and paying him a visit for your next tattoo!

If you are in San Diego and looking for an amazing tattoo experience, I recommend Brandon at 1904 Tattoo! My daughter and I walked in with an idea we have been talking about for a while and Brandon was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, accommodating, and took the time to ensure our designs were exactly what we envisioned. Getting these done while on vacation added such a special sentimental touch to his artwork and we left with a beautiful lifelong memory. I highly recommend Brandon for his talent and fantastic hospitality!

After months searching for the right artist, I found Scooby (Joe Cordileone) at 1904 Tattoo who gave me exactly the tattoo I wanted. I was looking to have a mother and daughter owl with a realistic look as a memorial to my 31 year old daughter who passed away in September 2025. This was my first tattoo and a dedication to the living bone we shared, so it absolutely needed to be perfect. I found Scooby because I started asking other people who had tattoos with that same realistic quality that I was looking for and a nice lady referred me to him, saying she had only gone to him for years. The tattoo shop is beautiful, in a great location in Pacific beach, beautifully designed, clean, and the artist's touch was perfect. I was able to get the entire tattoo completed in one sitting with these. I highly recommend this artist and this location.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience here, I went in for a cover-up piece, and the result completely exceeded my expectations. Brandon took the time to really understand what I wanted, how to make the idea work, and made sure every detail was perfect. The professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were amazing. Making sure everything was covered and lined up and listening to any input you had on the design. You can tell Brandon and the whole shop truly cares about their work and their clients. My old tattoo is completely transformed into something I’m actually proud to show off every day. If you’re thinking about a cover-up or any new piece, I highly recommend him. you won’t be disappointed!
