I had an incredible time getting tatooed here! Got matching tattoos with a friend and all the information I needed to book was easy to find! The space is airy, comfortable and everyone was so nice. The coffee is delicious and I have now gone back just to get coffee! Jessica (@jessicaclaytattoos) was incredible and her design turned out perfect. I am so happy with how everything turned out and can't wait to get another tattoo (and more coffee!)
I got a fine-line script tattoo from Sofia a few years ago. Initially, I was very impressed with both her work and the overall experience. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been extremely disappointing due to the lack of communication and customer support. A complimentary touch-up was included with the tattoo, yet for over a year I have been trying unsuccessfully to schedule one. My tattoo is very small and simple, and the touch-up would likely take no more than 10 minutes. When I first contacted the shop, I was told that Sofia had moved and only returned occasionally, and that I should reach out to her directly via email. I emailed her and never received a response. I have also followed her on social media for years and sent direct messages, which likewise went unanswered. In addition, I have called the shop multiple times and was told that someone would speak with the manager and call me back. I never received a callback. I have also emailed the shop directly and received no response. What makes this especially frustrating is that a touch-up was included in the price I originally paid. If the artist is no longer regularly available, there should be some process in place to assist existing clients rather than leaving them without any options. At this point, the situation has become so unreasonable that I will likely have to pay another artist to complete a touch-up that was already promised. Had I known this would be the outcome, I might as well have budgeted for an entirely new tattoo. The quality of the original work was great, but the complete lack of follow-through and communication has left me very disappointed.
i recently came here for my first tattoo- first off, the drinks were phenomenal (i highly recommend the chai) and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. my artist, amy, however, was definitely the best part! she had such a touch when it comes to designing and giving tattoos. she understood my vision exactly and her work was extremely detailed and well done. phenomenal service and awesome tattoos at a great price!
Got this cute little guy as a matching tattoo with my sister to remember our first trip together ❤️🌴🌖 I am so glad we went with this place. Coffee was great, tattoo artist (Jessica) was wonderful - friendly and experienced. Pretty quick and healing has been a breeze. The cover they give you to wear a few days after really helps. Would go again given the chance.
Finally, a place where I can get my caffeine AND existential crisis fix in one stop! Listen, I’ve read the reviews saying this place is “LA’s first tattoo and coffee shop” and honestly? Groundbreaking concept. Why has humanity been separating these two essential life experiences for so long? It’s like we’ve been living in the dark ages. Walked in expecting to just grab a Sightglass coffee (which, by the way, is *chef’s kiss* delicious), and left with both the jitters and a sick new tattoo. The vibes here are immaculate - bold decor, super friendly artists and baristas who somehow manage to be both chill and enthusiastic at the same time. It’s like they bottled up the essence of Echo Park and poured it into this space. Other reviewers have raved about how talented and welcoming the artists are, and they’re not wrong. The whole crew here gets it - whether you’re walk-in ready or booking ahead, they treat you like family. And the fact that I can fuel my “should I really do this?” internal debate with quality espresso while sitting in the chair? Priceless. This place has been killing it since 2004 for a reason. If you’re in the area and need either permanent art or temporary consciousness, Supersweet has got you covered. Bonus: It’s dog-friendly, so even your furry friend can judge your life choices in real-time. Can’t wait to come back for round two!
