Steve's Tattoo

Toni was FANTASTIC! She worked with my son for his first tattoo and with very little detail she came up with an amazing design. She had great suggestions for mine and schooled me on my own guitar.

Cannot say enough good things about Hannah (lil baby steps)!!! She is so earnest in how she tattoos and takes the time to work with your idea and body angles so you get the best possible tattoo. If you want whimsy, fun, and trad tattoos in Madison, she's your girl!

Thanks David for squeezing me in yesterday even though you had other appointments and were hungry. I love my newest tat.

EDIT: once again I was screwed over by this place. A SIMPLE OUTLINE OF BRAZIL COMPLETELY UNRECOGNIZABLE!! Paid 120 for something that represents an important person in my life (mentioned bf) and now i have to get a solid black cover up which will cost probably double and won't be done at steves.... The woman who usually works during the day, has dark hair and glasses if I remember correctly.. *Sara's the name? Anyway... the first time she did work on my bf, the (very tiny) amount of color she put on it faded away in less than 3 weeks. The first man who did my work was absolutely wonderful, unfortunately I don't remember his name or face (bald? black square-rimmed glasses)... the second man: older guy, skinny long hair, has been "tattooing for 20 years".... rushed me through my entire hour appointment. He kept saying "She (*sara?) said this was just gonna be a quick and simple tattoo" which it was, but he adding things i asked him not to, and every time he had to reprint he kept printing the same thing so i just gave up and gave in... he talked the entire time about how he has a 5pm he can't be late for (even tho he was 15min late to receive me). Talked the entire time about his divorce and what a b*tch his ex is.. as if I want to listen to non-stop negativity, yet every time I tried to say something he would constantly correct me and interrupt/talk over me. A few very important lines in my tattoo are very noticeably wavy, he added things I didn't ask for and got mad when I asked what happened to what i did ask for... saying again "there wasn't enough time" even though what he did was WAY more tat than i wanted... Back to the woman, The very first time my bf got work done with her, he gave her a picture of his cover-up back tat, she said she never got it. He sent the email again shortly after, of which she received. By the 2nd time we went, maybe 2 or 3 months after the first, she still didn't even look at the picture of his back. They're talking about what he wants done and now he's given her MONTHS to do ANYTHING and she hasn't. Not one thing. He goes back, she has "no email from him with the picture " so he has her take a picture of it herself... it's been at least 2 weeks and he's supposed to see her today to work on it. She has NOTHING drawn up for him STILL.. ALSO, the ink isn't great, their styles are weird and very singular; you won't get any variation from what you see online or in their portfolio. At least not from these 2 people... Be careful and choose wisely coming here

Walked in on a Saturday for a ring tattoo and had a super great experience. Toni was percise and efficient and easy peasy.

Jessica was phenomenal from the text reminders, to how well she explained everything to my 7 yo and put her immediately at ease. My kiddo wanted so badly to have her ears pierced but waffled for 6 months because she was fearful of the pain (she suffers from anxiety), but all went SO smoothly and she was all smiles, even between ears! Thank you so much Jessica, your genuine care and expertise is evident. We appreciate you :-)
