Dreamland Tattoo

Got my first tattoo here and even though I was really excited I was also nervous but the staff made me feel so welcome! I'm so happy with my tattoo and will definitely come back when I think of another one to get 😁

Got my first tattoo here from John. He did a great job and I was super comfortable through the whole process. Everyone at Dreamland is very nice and professional. I defined would recommend.

I got a crown of thorns and I sent in something different and got something I love 10x more. John does great work, this is my second one. He’s great.

This has been the best experience I’ve had at a shop, that’s not to say I’ve had bad experiences but dreamland was a clear winner. Helpful, mindful, creative, professional. I was inked by Jon and the guy was awesome it’s only been about a week and the compliments on the art and line work just keep coming. He was light handed, efficient, helpful and overall a great experience. It’s definitely my favorite tattoo to date and was exactly what I wanted with some creative touches to blend it in to my previous tattoo.

I had high hopes for Dreamland, given all the rave reviews, but their customer service left much to be desired. I called three days prior to my visit to arrange a nose piercing for my niece's graduation gift. I made it clear she was 17, her mother would be there, and I simply wanted to confirm the price and hours. The gentleman on the phone was charming and gave me the go-ahead. However, upon our arrival, we were met by a woman at the desk who, upon learning we were there for the piercing and my niece was 17, smugly declared, “Sorry, we can’t pierce you here unless your 18. & It’s Virginia law that no one under 18 can get a piercing so I don’t think any shops in the state will do it.” This was a blatant falsehood; a simple “we don’t pierce anyone under 18 here” would have sufficed. We quickly found another shop that had no issue piercing her. While I was frustrated by the dishonesty, we ended up having a great laugh on the way to the new place. My niece left with a fabulous new look, and perhaps the TRUE surprise that day was how little Dreamland met expectations! And to the lovely woman at the counter who “didn’t think” any shops would pierce her.. thank God they don’t pay you to think! 😉
