Gina was amazing! She helped me decide on location and sizing as I wasn't completely positive. And my tattoo turned out just as I had imagained! It's perfect. She also offered a touch-up as part of the original service, which was already an incredibly fair price. The atmosphere of the shop was amazing and you could tell everyone liked each other. Everyone kept every station very clean and sanitary! I will most certainly be coming to Gina for my next tattoos!!

Black Dahlia employs a number of tattoo artists, a few of whom recently brought home top awards from the Rubber City Tattoo Convention. You'll want to check out each artist's work and rates (they set their own) to see whose work suits you best, but they're all awesome. I work with Kurt Colantonio, and he's been nothing but awesome with the design and work--and endlessly patient with my questions. There's a shop minimum for work (I believe it's $100, but please double-check me on this), and most artists will require a deposit for appointments, but it's *entirely* worth it. Definitely give Black Dahlia a look if you're in the market for a tattoo.

Had my tattoo here a few days ago and the attention was nice, the result was exactly what I wanted and the price was fair. 👍🏽

I had a tattoo appointment with Alex, where we initially agreed on a $500 budget for a 6-hour session. After the first appointment, Alex mentioned it would take two sessions, but I wasn’t told the price or time frame would change. I paid $300 for the first session, plus a $50 deposit and tip. Before the second session, I asked about the price and time, and there seemed to be some confusion. I agreed to pay $250 for the second session, thinking the tattoo would be finished. However, after 8 hours (4 in the second session), the tattoo still wasn’t done. Alex said we would need a third session, which could take another 4-6 hours. I decided to cancel the third session and gave Alex over five weeks’ notice. When I asked for my deposit back, she refused. After 8 hours and $650, the tattoo is still unfinished, and I no longer feel comfortable continuing.

I must’ve gotten someone newer cause my tattoo ended up being a big scarred mess after healing. They pressed SO HARD. I have dozens of tattoos and none hurt this bad. She was very nice but oof. I will most likely have laser removal if my usual guy can’t fix it. The tattoo was not done at this studio but done by one of their artists at a convention. I have reached out via IG and even called to speak to a manager quicker but I never heard back, but I dont believe there is any way to resolve this anyway. I have already begun the laser process.
