Have gotten a few tattoos from Forrest over the years, and am always blown away by his art, his awesome attitude, and just overall care with each appointment! Already looking forward to my next one!

I am not one to leave reviews, but wanted to say a few words about how positive my many experiences with Forrest at Blaque Owl have been. Years ago I had a semi-niche request, & he was willing to give it a shot - we started with a consult and I immediately got the vibe he was patient, flexible, and willing to work through my slight pickiness. I have since done 4 (maybe more?) sessions with Forrest over the years and can’t overstate how patient, kind and talented this artist is. He is always willing to take time to alter size/placement & drawn on pieces, I always feel comfy taking my time and expressing myself to make sure we’re on the same page and happy with the piece. Plus, a while back there was some crap going around with male tattoo artists in Missoula being creeps & committing crimes towards women, and Forrest was one of the only male tattoo artists I saw speak up & make sure his clients knew consent & open, respectful communication were non-negotiable top priorities for him. After some historical bad experiences with male tattoo artists, that meant a lot to me & might to other folks browsing artists, who knows I recommend him to friends all the time so here’s my rec to the whole world! 10/10

Blaque Owl is always a great place to get some work done. Forrest brought my dreams to reality with his amazing skills and creativity with my back piece. I honestly would only trust Forrest with this tattoo. Forrest is very kind, patient, and caring when it comes to having a client in his chair. Always professional and respectful, while keeping the environment calm and welcoming. Plus, his attention to detail is unmatched. Simply, the best!!

Forrest did an amazing job on my tattoo. He was able to perfectly capture the vision I had of what I wanted. I love his art. He does great work.

I have had the joy of working with Forrest Wright twice. He has given me two absolutely exquisite tattoos that are PERFECT for me. For my first tattoo he took our consolation and presented exactly what I had described as well as a RAD slightly different version. I fell in love with his version of the Eagle and we busted it out in two sessions. His hand is very gentle and his detail work is out of this world. He is a true artist. My eagle has lasted amazingly well! I went back for a fantasy novel cover-eske unicorn and again he presented exactly what I asked for as well as a version with wings! And OFCOURSE I want the wings! He is a master at his craft and I seriously could not recommend him more. Look no farther for a great human doing something they are passionate about, good vibes all around. I will be back again and again :)

I’ve gotten a couple tattoos done by matt and sat in on a tattoo by forrest and the experience is always exquisite. Both Matt and Forrest were extremely kind and welcoming. The studio itself is super comfortable. Every time I’m at Blaque owl i’m reminded why they are always voted best tattoo shop in missoula. Absolutely recommend

I had a piece scheduled with Forrest W. When I showed up for my appointment, he presented a stencil that was 2-3x bigger than the space I'd shown him in the consult, which led to him suggesting that the placement or the content change. I ultimately did not get the piece done. Forrest has great reviews so this was a disappointment, especially considering I attended a consultation to avoid a situation like this.
