Carl was great! He pierced my vertical hood. Hurt like hell, but he did it very quickly and got it done and over with. Took his time to give me after care instructions. The piercing is perfectly center and just what I wanted.

I've been coming here for the last 5 out 6 years. I'm very strategic about my tattoos and my last artist passed away during covid soooooo this has been my spot. Brought my daughter here for all of her piercings. Their work has always been great as well as customer service. I've had the pleasure of working with a couple of artists here! Everyone appears to have beautiful body art no matter who they've worked with so I'm ok working with a few of the artists. Anyhoo, I'd recently gotten some tattoos at the April festival. I wanted to get touch ups for myself and my daughter. Although, I misunderstood the gentleman saying that their sister company could complete our work, and I could get my touch ups at my home company. No problem, we'll go to Tupelo for those touch ups. However, I asked to set an appointment for another tattoo for a later date and time with the gentleman from the festival as the work he did on 2 people looked great. I figured the words I wanted would be done with detail and no explosions later. It got weird because, I was not aware of the gentleman having an appointment and did apologize fit the inconvenience. Since he asked to see what I wanted, I didn't mind showing him. But then he made comments like, "it's too long, no one's gonna read that, you're not gonna read that, you need to cut it after the the 3rd word." I advised it was fine as it was for me. And he continued to make the same comment. At first I was brushing it off, but I felt as though maybe he did not want to work with me, and that's his choice. But, I don't know him. And it came off as brusk after the 3rd it 4th time and I decided to leave without setting up an appointment. Although he apologized, it made me feel like what I wanted as a customer did not matter. Or that he didn't take me serious about what I wanted and demeaned me as a customer. I'm sure I'll go and get the tattoo I want. And I'll be able to speak with someone in regards to size and font styles. But I'm just a little off about this interaction. Still a great place with great artists, just will not that request that gentleman.

i got my right nostril pierced and it went smoothly! the pain wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be and Carl made me feel at ease and waked me through how to take care of it. i’ll definitely be back!

I have been coming to Illusion for so many years and every time it’s a great experience! Bobby is great with cover ups. You want bright and lots color he’s your man ! I love it didn’t take weeks to get in with him ! The shop is always clean and inviting
