My wife was given a piece of her brother back to her with her tattoo. Then Big Mike gave me the Tree of Life on my right arm and shoulder. This is a bad ass tattoo that not only coincides with our faith, but connects to my other tattoos perfectly. We still have work to do, and can't wait for the next sessions to start. Thank you for the amazing artistry! Perfect afternoon!

Big Mike was absolutely amazing. My brother and I share the same birthday, and this was the first year we weren't able to say it. My strongest motivator and biggest supporter in life took his life after being retired from the Air Force. Our family has never felt more loss than that moment. Today was the first time I got to start a dedication piece in honor of him. Mike took my scattered randomness and has started this amazing sleeve. Thank you for your work will never say enough. The talent Big Mike has is astounding, amazing, and perfect.

I decided I wanted a piercing this afternoon and after reading reviews talking this place up, I decided to give them a try for the first time! They got me in right away and I am SO glad I ended up here!! Mindy did my piercing and she did it with grace, extreme care, and obvious skill. I barely felt a thing! She and her mentor worked together in perfect harmony and not only did the job beautifully, but they also created a safe and welcoming environment to be getting the piercing done in. They were amazing! After the piercing was finished, I had a free tattoo consultation with Big Mike and he was such a joy to talk to. He gave me sooo much information and he made me very confident that he could and would create something wonderful for me. I’m sorry to have forgotten her name, but the woman who I scheduled the appointment with was also really amazing! She fit me in to the schedule right away and answered all my questions like a pro. When I was checking in for my appointment she was multitasking like….400 things at once. What a woman! You can tell these guys and gals are not only extremely talented artists, but they also have deep knowledge and respect for the trade. Bonus points: the studio was squeaky clean and decorated beautifully. I’ll definitely be back!!!

Some of the best service I’ve ever had — Dylan truly loves his job and it’s clear to all his clients. Ensured I had the safest and most effective piercing process! A month of my piercing and it has healed beautifully.

I truly wish I could recommend Aftershock, but I'm sad to say I will not be visiting this studio again. A few years ago I stumbled upon an amazing artist while getting a piercing there, and had the privilege of getting some of their art on my arm. I went back for another piercing later on and I adore all of the work done by these two artists. Not only had their work been phenomenal, but I'd also had a wonderful experience with both the artist and piercer. The artists were wonderful, but the overall atmosphere of the shop itself was off and I felt a little uncomfortable and judged by other artists in the space. I went back for another piercing later on and was told that they no longer offered piercings. I asked where the piercer had moved to thinking they had found a new space and was met with a shrug. I thought it was strange but went on my way to find someone else. After a while of going to a new piercer, they mentioned temporarily moving to Aftershock for a spell with another artist that I had had the pleasure of getting work done with. Hearing that Aftershock was going to start piercing again especially at their new place sounded great! Only for my piercer and that artist to announce that they were no longer welcome at Aftershock just shortly after the collaboration announcement. This behavior is very strange in my opinion, and the fact that all four of these artists whom not only I but many of my friends have had nothing but wonderful experiences with have left Aftershock tells me something definitely isn't right with this place. It seems to be a very judgemental place, and definitely not somewhere I want a permanent piece of artwork put onto my body, piercing or tattoo. I hope I can convince others to spend their time and money elsewhere, or do their research into artists that will make you feel welcome and unjudged within their shop.
