Tommy is doing my whole sleeve currently and I am impressed with how much dedication he has to the art! He truly wants things you will enjoy for a lifetime and doesn't settle for less! He's a straight shooter and will be popping jokes the whole time! The atmosphere of the whole shop is relaxed and good times! He also doesn't get upset when you ask for something to be fixed either ! Some of my pink bled out because of the place on my arm not wanting to hold the ink and he went back in and colored it up again without complaint! He also put more color in another tattoo I had gotten (not by him) that needed the right color and was very professional about it! He is super fast too doesn't dilly dally or waste time while not sacrificing any of the detail or beauty of the tattoo ! Him and tank will have you rolling on the ground I promise! They are some of the funniest guys you'll meet! I haven't been tattooed by tank but I've seen the work he's done on other people while I was there and it has got to be the best delicate lines and detailed work I've seen! My wife wants to eventually get a tattoo from him because of how beautiful his work is! If you want a comfortable environment with excellent people and perfect art pieces on your skin I would recommend this place to the highest degree! Especially Tommy and Tank! You won't be disappointed and they will do whatever piece you bring in whether sentimental or silly or spontaneous you will walk out proud to have been tattooed by these men! P.s. I'm a week into healing in the first pic of the bottom and freshly got the second pic today of the top.
I can’t say enough good things about this shop! Tommy was my artist, and he absolutely killed it on my large thigh piece. He designed a completely custom drawing just for me, and it turned out even better than I imagined. His use of bright, bold colors makes the tattoo pop so much, and I’ve already gotten a ton of compliments. On top of being super talented, Tommy works quickly and efficiently without ever sacrificing quality. He made the whole experience comfortable and fun, and I left beyond happy with the final result. If you’re looking for custom work with vibrant colors and an artist who really knows his craft, go see Tommy—you won’t regret it! Also, Tank is another artist at the shop who does great work - He has done a few pieces for my husband and he is very happy with his work as well! Tank also does piercings. He did my earlobes and it was painless and has healed really well.
I have gotten a few tattoos done here by tommy! amazing work, amazing environment. My dad also comes to this shop and has gotten tons of work done. Never a complaint or bad time. I will never go to a different shop EVER.
I’ve been coming to Lifestyle for over a year now (not all work is posted) I’ve been going to Tommy for all my art and I recommend him every-time a tattoo gets a compliment. This whole shop really is just amazing. It’s clean, you’re always taken care of, and there’s ALWAYS good jams going on. Any piercing or tattoo of mine needed in the future, I know where I’ll be going.
I’ve gone to Lifestyle since I was 18. I’ve had an amazing experience there. They’ve done all of my tattoos. The artists are great. They make sure you feel comfortable. I’ve gotten multiple piercings from them. Have never had any bad experience. I go to Tommy specifically and he does amazing work. I love this shop and the people in it definitely will be coming here for a long time.
I walked in with my friend this past Saturday and wasn’t going to get a tattoo but decided on one and nix did my tattoo, totally amazing! I loved his artwork, he did exactly what I was wanting/picturing and will definitely be going back. Loved the shop environment and the artists
Every single occasion I have been in the shop, whether it be as a guest when my friend was getting tattooed or when i was getting pierced, the owner would trash talk other artists. He would say some crazy stuff about some very reputable tattoo artists in the valley, then try to include other artists in his shop to join in on the bad mouthing. Overall the shop seems very drama motivated, and i wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here unless they enjoy an atmosphere that resembles a highschool gossip club
went in recently to get a piece i was sitting farther back with one of the artists when i overheard a conversation i just couldn’t help but share. one of the artists over there named Tommy started talking about women and how he wouldn’t be with a women if they have more then one kid because they are “stretched out” and “used”. (those are the specific words used by said artists) this made me very uncomfortable but the conversation continued when the owner/artist Brandon commented on someone that they new personally and up close and started specifically talking about her and her body and saying some pretty crazy things including name drops and specifically making fun of this young lady and her intimate parts. as well as a reply back from Tommy noting that “back in the day they would have followed her out” reasoning that she was also fat and he doesn’t like fat people and openly makes fun of LGBTQ+ community with slurs during my time there. mind you i was there for maybe 3-4 hours. the artists who did not participate in this situation who were warm and welcoming from all angles are now gone from the shop for multiple instances like this one so i would think twice before financially supporting people who sit in a circle and degrade womens ability to create and sustain life so publicly, its concerning. AND the kicker is each of the artists named are in committed relationships. and i know this review will get excused and eventually be erased i have read multiple ones like it but hopefully it reaches the right audience as i wont just not be recommending them but anytime i get a chance i will be spreading the story i experienced.
I previously posted a review, but I am unable to reply to your response. So here’s my response :) Thank you for taking the time to reply, but I stand by every part of my review. It’s concerning that instead of addressing the specific issues I raised — such as inappropriate jewelry being used (butterfly backs for cartilage, a horseshoe ring for a fresh conch), piercings placed at poor angles, lack of sanitation between clients, and incorrect aftercare advice — you chose to call me a liar, “theatrical,” and even a “clown.” That kind of defensive and hostile response only reinforces the unprofessionalism I witnessed during my visit. I also noticed that your replies to other low-star reviews follow the same aggressive pattern — dismissing legitimate concerns instead of showing any accountability. That speaks volumes to anyone researching your business. For clarity: the other shop I went to for correction was Hippie Hoops and Holes, a reputable studio that has been recognized as Best of Idaho and Best of the Treasure Valley in 2025. Their professionalism and knowledge stood in stark contrast to what I experienced here, and they were shocked by the choices made during my piercings. I have no reason to “exaggerate” an experience that left me and my friends in pain and required us to spend more money to fix. I’m sharing my review so others can make an informed decision before trusting this shop with their body and health.
Worst piercing experience I’ve ever had!!!! My friends and I came here to get piercings, and we all left deeply disappointed. We honestly should have turned around and walked out the moment we stepped in—none of the staff greeted us. Three employees were sitting around on their phones, and with no other customers in the shop, it felt unwelcoming and awkward from the start. We weren't given any choice in our jewelry, and what they did put in was completely incorrect. One of my friends got a conch piercing, and instead of a flat back stud (which is standard and appropriate), they used a horseshoe ring. Another friend and I got upper helix piercings, and they put in 20 gauge butterfly back lobe jewelry—which is absolutely not suitable for cartilage piercings. I’ve had several cartilage piercings before, so I immediately knew something was wrong. I asked the piercer why he used a butterfly back instead of a flat back, and he dismissed my concerns, saying, “I’ve been piercing for a long time, so I know what I’m doing,” and claimed that flat backs are harder to clean. Ironically, butterfly backs are full of little crevices where bacteria can easily build up, making them more difficult to keep sanitary. To make matters worse, when I got up after being pierced, I noticed my hand was bleeding. I suspect he dropped a needle and it nicked me, which was very concerning. That’s when I realized he hadn’t wiped down the chair between clients—and even more disturbing, the piercers didn’t wash their hands before gloving up. They had literally been eating pizza when we arrived. The aftercare advice was also completely off. He told me to clean the piercing with Dial soap because “everything else would dry it out”—referring to saline solution. That’s just bad advice. Drying out the area is exactly what you want to avoid bacteria buildup. Overall, the entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt like they had no real understanding of safe, hygienic piercing practices. As soon as I got home, I booked a jewelry change appointment at my trusted piercing shop—Hippie Hoops and Holes—who are incredibly professional and kind. At that appointment, they were shocked by what I told them about this shop. They replaced the jewelry with the correct gauge, which was painful because the previous piercer had squeezed on the butterfly backs so tightly there was no room for swelling. They had a hard time removing them. My friend with the conch piercing also had to get hers changed. The piercer at Hippie said the ring had been bent to fit around her ear—and if she’d left it in, it likely would have caused a major keloid or even ruined the piercing altogether. It’s common knowledge that you don’t pierce a conch with a hoop. They also told us that all of our piercings had been done at strange angles, and if they don’t heal properly, we may need to have them corrected in the future. That’s not something anyone should have to worry about after paying for a professional service. I truly cannot recommend this place to anyone. If I could rate it zero stars, I would. Also, please note that in Idaho, tattoo/piercing shops aren’t required to have a sanitary license—so please do your research and be cautious before getting any service here. (I'm including an image of my hand. This was taken three days after the piercing fiasco)
