Mission Ink Tattoo & Piercing

I had my conch pierced recently by Salomé, she was very professional and walked me through every step of how to care for my new piercing. She was very thorough and knew how to ease any anxiety I had; I felt comfortable to ask her all of my questions. She also helped me to choose the right jewelry for my conch and even anodized the jewelry to my color preference! The front desk person was also very friendly and approachable, and I felt super safe and welcomed. HOWEVER, I didn't have the greatest experience when I came back to Mission Ink a second time. I am still rather new to getting pierced and I felt that the person who downsized my jewelry (I didn't get their name as they didn't introduce themselves) during my second visit was slightly rude towards me and suggested that I was not taking care of my piercings as I should've been, despite carefully following the instructions from Salomé/the aftercare card I was given from her during my prior appointment. I totally understand giving customers feedback and tips on best practices, but you shouldn't be condescending to paying customers. I didn't feel 100% comfortable asking questions about how I should be treating my piercing because of this interaction. This person also suggested that Salomé didn't have as much experience or expertise as them, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. I am not sure I would go back to this specific piercer. **I would still choose to go to Mission Ink should I be interested in getting a new piercing or tattoo despite my recent experience 😊 Calling ahead is important because it can get quite busy! I would recommend Mission Ink to other people, weekends are best though. Highly recommended booking an appointment with Salomé!

Came in for a walk in labret piercing, Jake was super clean, professional, meticulous. He made sure to answer all of my questions beforehand to ease any unnecessary anxiety and the whole process was over super quickly! 10/10 would go again

Ariel is a great artist! She made me very comfortable and the price was good.

I was having a hard time getting the door open to the shop today, there was a lady inside and I pointed to the door to ask if she could let me in and then in a very rude attitude she says the door is open. So I just left. I planned on getting a piercing here but I will not be coming back. It costs nothing to be nice.

Updated review in 2025: I went back to Mission Ink for a new ear piercing since my last one wasn’t spaced the way I wanted. The piercer understood right away, and the new piercing was quick and turned out great. A few weeks in, the healing process is going smoothly, which I attribute to the piercer's skill. What made the experience less positive was the feedback I got. I was told my old piercing was done by a “low-quality piercer” with “low-quality earrings,” even though I had it done at Mission Ink. That made me uncomfortable. I was also told I needed to buy new earrings instead of reusing my old ones, since they were "low quality." When I asked how likely my old piercing was to close over time, the response I got came across as dismissive and made me feel dumb for asking. I understand it’s a hard question to answer, but I wish it had been explained more respectfully. Overall, I’m happy with the new piercing itself, but the way feedback and questions were handled left me with mixed feelings. Previous review from 2023: Salomé was super nice and made me feel comfortable for my ear piercing appointment. The piercings were done quickly and I like that Mission Ink sent care instructions to my email. I just wish they took credit cards as a form of payment but I understand it costs businesses more to do so. Would recommend this place to my friends.

Fast and almost painless. Healing great. Walked right in to get serviced.

Jake did get the job done, but did not use the right equipment, made me bleed a lot on a piercing that should not have bled, had to redo two of the piercings, and went into the piercing not knowing what i had asked for. Beware
