--- type: state_ranking name: "The 10 best tattoo shops in Pennsylvania" state: "Pennsylvania" abbr: "PA" shops: 10 eligible: 76 url: https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/best-tattoo-shops/ --- # The 10 best tattoo shops in Pennsylvania 76 shops in Pennsylvania carry at least 25 Google reviews and qualify; these are the top 10. ## How this is ranked Shops are ordered by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: (n × rating + 320 × 4.79) ÷ (n + 320), where n is the shop's Google review count, 320 is the median review count across the directory and 4.79 is the directory-wide mean rating. Only shops with at least 25 reviews qualify; ties go to the shop with more reviews. Ordering is computed at build time from two facts per shop — its Google rating and its Google review count. One listing per street address, and nobody paid for a position. ## The ranking | # | Shop | City | Rating | Reviews | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | [Drop of Ink Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/mechanicsburg/drop-of-ink-tattoo.md) | Mechanicsburg | 5.0 | 1,100 | | 2 | [True Self Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/mechanicsburg/true-self-tattoo.md) | Mechanicsburg | 5.0 | 871 | | 3 | [Revelation Tattoo and Piercing](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/harleysville/revelation-tattoo-and-piercing.md) | Harleysville | 5.0 | 753 | | 4 | [Black Horizon Tattoo Co](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/pittsburgh/black-horizon-tattoo-co.md) | Pittsburgh | 5.0 | 588 | | 5 | [The Tattoo Shoppe](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/montoursville/the-tattoo-shoppe.md) | Montoursville | 5.0 | 412 | | 6 | [Love and Lies Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/state-college/love-and-lies-tattoo.md) | State College | 5.0 | 310 | | 7 | [Catharsis Tattoo Gallery](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/altoona/catharsis-tattoo-gallery.md) | Altoona | 5.0 | 256 | | 8 | [Sacred Bond Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/philadelphia/sacred-bond-tattoo-company.md) | Philadelphia | 5.0 | 202 | | 9 | [Lake Effect Tattoo Parlour](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/erie/lake-effect-tattoo-parlour.md) | Erie | 5.0 | 201 | | 10 | [Famous Tattoo Works](https://www.localtattoos.com/pennsylvania/easton/famous-tattoo-works.md) | Easton | 5.0 | 199 | ### 1.
