“I took my mom to get her first tattoo at IGLA and Pavel did such an amazing job! We came in the afternoon and he fit us into his schedule and was so kind to my mom, who was a bit scared for her tattoo. I wanted to get one done as well, and Sophia worked with me to fit me in before our flight the next day and designed a beautiful piece for me! 2 months later and both of our tattoos still look as stunning and crisp as when we got them. I will definitely be flying back up to get my next tattoo from Sophia! All the staff was so kind and welcoming, and it was a great experience!!”
“I texted the studio to see if they had any availability, and they were able to fit me in within 1.5 hours, which was a nice treat. A truly great experience from beginning to end. The place is super clean and bright but doesn't feel cold or sterile. Each employee I saw was very welcoming and friendly to folks who came in, and it was a very comfortable environment to wait in while Christine showed me what she had already started working on based on our texts. The price was very reasonable and they were upfront about the approximate costs and payment methods ahead of time, and were able to give me an actual price once we settled on a design. Christine is amazing; she took her time with me choosing a design, and even though the idea of the tattoo itself (four words) was simple, she was super patient and thoughtful to make sure I was totally happy with each little detail. I told her my thoughts and she was able to turn them into exactly what I was looking for. When she answered my questions and we bounced around ideas, she was very open-minded and explained why she would or would not recommend certain things and it really helped me to feel confident choosing from the options she came up with for us. The actual tattooing itself was next to painless, even when she followed up in certain places at the end with little touch ups to make sure it looked like what we'd planned and the aftercare instructions were simple but thorough. This tattoo is a special one for me and it came out beautifully. I feel so lucky to have found Christine and this studio. I will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone. “My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of getting tattooed by Nick and Shakira at Manhattan Tattoos, and we are beyond grateful for the entire experience.
