--- type: state_ranking name: "The 10 best tattoo shops in Michigan" state: "Michigan" abbr: "MI" shops: 10 eligible: 73 url: https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/best-tattoo-shops/ --- # The 10 best tattoo shops in Michigan 73 shops in Michigan carry at least 25 Google reviews and qualify; these are the top 10. ## How this is ranked Shops are ordered by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: (n × rating + 320 × 4.79) ÷ (n + 320), where n is the shop's Google review count, 320 is the median review count across the directory and 4.79 is the directory-wide mean rating. Only shops with at least 25 reviews qualify; ties go to the shop with more reviews. Ordering is computed at build time from two facts per shop — its Google rating and its Google review count. One listing per street address, and nobody paid for a position. ## The ranking | # | Shop | City | Rating | Reviews | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | [Ink Haven Tattoos and Piercings](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/grand-haven/ink-haven-tattoos-and-piercings.md) | Grand Haven | 5.0 | 351 | | 2 | [4th Street Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/royal-oak/4th-street-tattoo-company.md) | Royal Oak | 5.0 | 242 | | 3 | [Ink Station Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/battle-creek/ink-station-tattoo.md) | Battle Creek | 5.0 | 236 | | 4 | [Motown Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/detroit/motown-tattoo-company.md) | Detroit | 4.9 | 1,300 | | 5 | [Chroma Tattoo Studio & Laser Tattoo Removal](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/west-bloomfield-township/chroma-tattoo-studio-laser-tattoo-removal.md) | West Bloomfield Township | 4.9 | 946 | | 6 | [Ironclad Tattoo Co.](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/troy/ironclad-tattoo-co.md) | Troy | 4.9 | 702 | | 7 | [Alpha & Omega INK](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/wyoming/alpha-omega-ink.md) | Wyoming | 4.9 | 537 | | 8 | [Motown Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/detroit/motown-tattoo-company-gratiot-ave.md) | Detroit | 4.9 | 454 | | 9 | [Origins Piercing and Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/flint/origins-piercing-and-tattoo.md) | Flint | 4.9 | 340 | | 10 | [My Little Needle Tattoos](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/plymouth/my-little-needle-tattoos.md) | Plymouth | 4.9 | 313 | ### 1.
