# Asheville Tattoo Arts Festival 2026: Event Archive

Asheville Tattoo Arts Festival: Asheville, NC, 2026-09-11 to 2026-09-13. Archive of the published program.

The 2026 Asheville Tattoo Arts Festival was scheduled for September 11–13 at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in downtown Asheville. Its organizer and the host venue described a weekend combining tattoo artists, competitions, vendors and live entertainment. Their published pages also identify the particular arena within the larger venue complex.

## The organizer’s three-day program

The [Villain Arts archive](https://villainarts.com/shows/archived-asheville-nc-2026/) lists the location at 87 Haywood Street and gives different opening times for Friday and the weekend. Friday's program was advertised from 2 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday opening at 11 a.m. The page names Captain & Maybelle, James Maltman and Camille Zamboni among the advertised entertainers.

Tattoo contests were another part of that program. The organizer directed contestants to a signup area near the entertainment stage and said registration would close before judging. That information describes the entry process promoted for the festival; the archive does not establish a list of winners.

## The venue’s view of the festival

The [host venue's event listing](https://www.harrahscherokeecenterasheville.com/events/2026-villain-arts-7th-annual-asheville-tattoo-arts-festival-saturday/) identifies ExploreAsheville.com Arena and confirms the Friday-through-Sunday dates. It promoted contests for both new and existing tattoos, alongside vendors selling items such as jewelry, alternative fashion and artwork-related goods. Its entertainment description included sideshow performances as well as tattooing.

The distinction between the center's name and the arena listing is useful when tracing this edition: both sources describe the same Asheville weekend, while the venue supplies the more specific room information. For current studio browsing outside a convention weekend, the [nearby shop finder](/near-me/) provides a separate starting point.

## Archive note

This entry is dated to the convention's opening day, 2026-09-11. It was compiled on 2026-10-27 from the linked organizer and venue or event-partner pages. It summarizes the published program, not an on-site review or confirmation of attendance, contest results or current ticket availability.
