--- type: best_category_state name: "Best cover-up tattoo shops in Michigan" category: "cover-ups" state: "Michigan" abbr: "MI" shops: 18 url: https://www.localtattoos.com/best/cover-ups/michigan/ --- # Best cover-up tattoo shops in Michigan 18 shops in Michigan that reviewers mention for cover-up and rework tattooing, each with at least 25 Google reviews. ## How this is ranked Shops are ordered by a Bayesian-adjusted rating: (n × rating + 320 × 4.79) ÷ (n + 320), where n is the shop's Google review count, 320 is the median review count across the directory and 4.79 is the directory-wide mean rating. Only shops with at least 25 reviews qualify; ties go to the shop with more reviews. Ordering is computed at build time from two facts per shop — its Google rating and its Google review count. One listing per street address, and nobody paid for a position. ## Ranked shops | # | Shop | City | Rating | Reviews | Reviewers mention | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | [Motown Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/detroit/motown-tattoo-company.md) | Detroit | 4.9 | 1,300 | American Traditional, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 2 | [Alpha & Omega INK](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/wyoming/alpha-omega-ink.md) | Wyoming | 4.9 | 537 | Piercing Services, Cover-Up Tattoos, Custom Tattoo Designs | | 3 | [Motown Tattoo Company](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/detroit/motown-tattoo-company-gratiot-ave.md) | Detroit | 4.9 | 454 | American Traditional, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 4 | [Copper Coin Tattoo Parlour](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/grand-rapids/copper-coin-tattoo-parlour.md) | Grand Rapids | 4.9 | 244 | American Traditional, Realism / Portrait, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 5 | [North Main Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/plymouth/north-main-tattoo-studio-art-gallery.md) | Plymouth | 4.9 | 228 | Black & Grey, Cover-Up Tattoos, Custom Tattoo Designs | | 6 | [All In Tattoo Co.](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/troy/all-in-tattoo-co.md) | Troy | 4.9 | 223 | Walk-ins Welcome, Piercing Services, Flash Tattoos Available | | 7 | [HTOWN Ink](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/holland/htown-ink.md) | Holland | 4.9 | 200 | Fine Line, Tattoo Touch-Ups, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 8 | [Honest To Goodness](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/grand-rapids/honest-to-goodness.md) | Grand Rapids | 4.8 | 540 | Aftercare Products, Piercing Services, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 9 | [Anarchy Ink Tattoos LLC](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/grand-rapids/anarchy-ink-tattoos-llc.md) | Grand Rapids | 4.8 | 325 | Black & Grey, Walk-ins Welcome, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 10 | [Breathing Canvas Tattoos](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/livonia/breathing-canvas-tattoos.md) | Livonia | 4.8 | 265 | Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait, Piercing Services | | 11 | [Mad Tatter Studios](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/waterford-township/mad-tatter-studios.md) | Waterford Township | 4.7 | 293 | Realism / Portrait, Cover-Up Tattoos, Custom Tattoo Designs | | 12 | [Electric Chair Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/flint/electric-chair-tattoo.md) | Flint | 4.7 | 451 | American Traditional, Script / Lettering, Japanese / Irezumi | | 13 | [Don't Tell Mom DTM Piercings And Tattoos LLC](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/zeeland/don-t-tell-mom-dtm-piercings-and-tattoos-llc.md) | Zeeland | 4.6 | 236 | American Traditional, Script / Lettering, Fine Line | | 14 | [Name Brand Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/ann-arbor/name-brand-tattoo.md) | Ann Arbor | 4.5 | 199 | American Traditional, Fine Line, Japanese / Irezumi | | 15 | [Art & Soul Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/portage/art-soul-tattoo.md) | Portage | 4.6 | 544 | Aftercare Products, Piercing Services, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 16 | [Elite Ink Tattoo Studios](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/center-line/elite-ink-tattoo-studios.md) | Center Line | 4.6 | 926 | Realism / Portrait, Aftercare Products, Walk-ins Welcome | | 17 | [Premier Tattoo Company Westland](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/westland/premier-tattoo-company-westland.md) | Westland | 4.6 | 1,000 | Piercing Services, Cover-Up Tattoos | | 18 | [Rockstar Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/roseville/rockstar-tattoo.md) | Roseville | 4.5 | 455 | Walk-ins Welcome, Piercing Services, Flash Tattoos Available | ## Related - [Cover-up tattoo shops by state](https://www.localtattoos.com/best/cover-ups.md) - [Tattoo shops in Michigan](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan.md) - [The best tattoo shops in Michigan](https://www.localtattoos.com/michigan/best-tattoo-shops.md) --- *Source: [LocalTattoos.com](https://www.localtattoos.com/best/cover-ups/michigan/).
