Only shops with at least 25 reviews qualify; ties go to the shop with more reviews. Ordering is computed at build time from two facts per shop — its Google rating and its Google review count. One listing per street address, and nobody paid for a position. ## Ranked shops | # | Shop | City | Rating | Reviews | Reviewers mention | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | [TATTOOIST NYC \| Tattoo Studio](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/tattooist-nyc-tattoo-studio.md) | New York | 5.0 | 252 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Black & Grey | | 2 | [Village Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/bethpage/village-tattoo.md) | Bethpage | 5.0 | 237 | American Traditional, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 3 | [Unscripted Ink Tattoo Shop](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/unscripted-ink-tattoo-shop.md) | New York | 5.0 | 200 | Fine Line, Geometric / Mandala, Black & Grey | | 4 | [INKNATION STUDIO](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/inknation-studio.md) | New York | 4.9 | 707 | Minimalist / Micro, American Traditional, Fine Line | | 5 | [RISING DRAGON TATTOOS NYC](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/rising-dragon-tattoos-nyc.md) | New York | 4.9 | 695 | Japanese / Irezumi, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 6 | [Hand of Glory Tattoo & Piercing](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/brooklyn/hand-of-glory-tattoo-piercing.md) | Brooklyn | 4.9 | 676 | American Traditional, Fine Line, Japanese / Irezumi | | 7 | [Cleopatra Ink Tattoo & Piercing Manhattan Studio](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/cleopatra-ink-tattoo-piercing-manhattan-studio.md) | New York | 4.9 | 613 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Black & Grey | | 8 | [L.O.V.E.machine Tattoo & Piercing](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/l-o-v-e-machine-tattoo-piercing.md) | New York | 4.9 | 582 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Japanese / Irezumi | | 9 | [Red Inkz Social Club](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/brooklyn/red-inkz-social-club.md) | Brooklyn | 5.0 | 162 | American Traditional, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 10 | [Electric Lotus Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/brooklyn/electric-lotus-tattoo.md) | Brooklyn | 4.9 | 401 | American Traditional, Japanese / Irezumi, Black & Grey | | 11 | [Picasso Tattoo Studio](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/picasso-tattoo-studio.md) | New York | 4.9 | 396 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Black & Grey | | 12 | [Graceland Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/wappingers-falls/graceland-tattoo.md) | Wappingers Falls | 4.9 | 296 | American Traditional, Fine Line, Black & Grey | | 13 | [Burning Phoenix Studio](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/yonkers/burning-phoenix-studio.md) | Yonkers | 4.9 | 255 | American Traditional, Script / Lettering, Japanese / Irezumi | | 14 | [Killer Silver Tattoo Studio LLC](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/scarsdale/killer-silver-tattoo-studio-llc.md) | Scarsdale | 4.9 | 239 | Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait, Aftercare Products | | 15 | [Lejend Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/franklin-square/lejend-tattoo.md) | Franklin Square | 4.9 | 200 | Minimalist / Micro, American Traditional, Fine Line | | 16 | [Atelier Eva](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/brooklyn/atelier-eva.md) | Brooklyn | 4.9 | 195 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Black & Grey | | 17 | [Village Tattoo NYC](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/village-tattoo-nyc.md) | New York | 4.8 | 637 | Black & Grey, Aftercare Products, Piercing Services | | 18 | [First Class Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/first-class-tattoo.md) | New York | 4.8 | 422 | Fine Line, Japanese / Irezumi, Black & Grey | | 19 | [East End Tattoo of Patchogue](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/patchogue/east-end-tattoo-of-patchogue.md) | Patchogue | 4.8 | 211 | Fine Line, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 20 | [South Shore Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/amityville/south-shore-tattoo.md) | Amityville | 4.8 | 209 | American Traditional, Japanese / Irezumi, Geometric / Mandala | | 21 | [The Ultimate Tattoo & Body Piercing](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/rochester/the-ultimate-tattoo-body-piercing.md) | Rochester | 4.7 | 369 | Script / Lettering, Black & Grey, Realism / Portrait | | 22 | [Black Fish Tattoo](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/new-york/black-fish-tattoo.md) | New York | 4.6 | 204 | Minimalist / Micro, Fine Line, Japanese / Irezumi | | 23 | [Express Yourself Tattoos & Body Piercing](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/lackawanna/express-yourself-tattoos-body-piercing.md) | Lackawanna | 4.5 | 253 | Black & Grey, Walk-ins Welcome, Piercing Services | ## Related - [Black & grey tattoo shops by state](https://www.localtattoos.com/best/black-and-grey.md) - [Tattoo shops in New York](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york.md) - [The best tattoo shops in New York](https://www.localtattoos.com/new-york/best-tattoo-shops.md) --- *Source: [LocalTattoos.com](https://www.localtattoos.com/best/black-and-grey/new-york/).
